On Thursday, October 10th, ACC-OC Members toured the Dana Point Harbor Revitalization Project. With remarks from 5th District Supervisor, Katrina Foley, a presentation from Bryon Ward, President of Burnham-Ward Properties, Partner in Dana Point Harbor Partners, and a walking tour of the state-of-the-art updates to the Marina, Members learned more about this amazing legacy project. The Dana Point Harbor revitalization will exponentially enhance the Harbor experience for Dana Point residents and visitors to the area. The revitalization will uphold an appreciation for the Harbor’s rich history, while providing an invigorating meeting place that enhances a sense of community, improves local businesses, and serves as an even greater Orange County icon.
ACC-OC took an Oppose Position to Proposition 33, joining with a bipartisan coalition including Governor Gavin Newsom, Assemblymember Blanca Pacheco, Alisa Viejo Mayor Mike Munzing, Costa Mesa Mayor John Stephens, Fullerton Mayor Nick Dunlap, Irvine Mayor Farrah Khan, Newport Beach Mayor Will O’Neill, Santa Ana Mayor Valerie Amezcua, Tustin Mayor Austin Lumbard, Yorba Linda Mayor Tara Campbell, along with many other Orange County Elected Officials, Editorials such as the Orange County Register, and Organizations such as Orange County Business Council, California Apartment Association, California Association of Relators, Orange County Taxpayers Association, and many others. Applications are now open for the 2025 ACC-OC Board of Directors. The ACC-OC Board of Directors plays a pivotal role in guiding the strategic direction of the organization, advocating for local government issues, and ensuring the voice of Orange County cities is effectively represented. Serving on the board provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with fellow civic leaders, contribute to regional initiatives, and help shape policy decisions that impact our cities.
We invite Member City Council Members to apply for a position on the 2025 Board of Directors. The application process is now open, and we encourage all interested councilmembers to submit their applications for eligible positions by Friday, November 8th.

Equity Profile Listening Session
Orange County Grantmakers, in partnership with the League of California Cities and the Association of California Cities Orange County (ACC-OC), invites local leaders to a roundtable on Wednesday, October 30, from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the Orange County Business Council in Irvine. This session will offer a preview of the 2025 Orange County Equity Profile report, and it aims to gather feedback from elected officials and city leaders on key equity issues such as housing, racial health disparities, and income gaps.

City of Yorba Linda
On Wednesday, September 25, Mayor Gracey Van Der Mark, Council Members Kalmick, Moser, and Bolton, City staff, Caltrans, and community members celebrated the ribbon cutting of the Oak View Beautification Project! The community transformed in just a few months with vibrant landscaping, upgraded streetscapes, improved traffic safety, and new pedestrian-friendly features. Thanks to a $5 million contribution from Caltrans and $1.5 million from the City; Oak View is now more beautiful, walkable, and a better place to live, learn, and play.
