If you prefer to donate by check, please make it payable to the Garden Grove Community Foundation and mail it to P.O. Box 3070, Garden Grove, CA 92842, or drop it off at one of the designated collection sites.

Thanks to the generous support of the community last year, over 300 local families received much-needed school supplies for their children. The family resource centers, including the Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center and Magnolia Park Family Resource Center, are committed to nurturing the potential of youth, supporting families, and enhancing communities. They offer a range of confidential, bilingual programs and services at low or no cost, focusing on family and youth, counseling, health and wellness, and community engagement.

City of Huntington Beach

The Huntington Beach Public Works Department is conducting a pilot program with Clean Earth Rovers to test an autonomous marine vessel designed to clean trash from harbor spaces. The "Roomba for the Water" can collect up to 20 pounds of debris and can be programmed to follow a mapped route or controlled manually. The city is collaborating with upstream cities to prevent the discharge of trash and debris into Huntington Harbour. The effort aims to make the harbor water more inviting for residents and visitors, especially during the summer months. If successful, Clean Earth Rovers could become a valuable addition to Huntington Beach's harbor cleaning efforts.

City of Irvine

The City of Irvine and UCI Health are teaming up to organize a blood drive event on Thursday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Irvine Civic Center. The donations will help support critical care for patients at UCI Medical Center. Donors will receive a $10 gift card to Target, In-N-Out Burger, or Starbucks, or a newly designed blood donor tote bag. They also have a chance to win four passes to Great Park Ice & FivePoint Arena. Appointments are recommended but not required, and walk-ins are welcome.

UCI Medical Center, as the only Level 1 Trauma Center in Orange County, needs at least 1,000 people to donate blood each month to meet the high demand for transfusions.
