Marlene Barraza is the Director of Communications at ACC-OC, where she applies her expertise in research, communications, and community engagement to enhance the organization's outreach and messaging strategies. As a first-generation college graduate, Marlene's journey is a testament to her dedication and commitment to positively impacting her community.
Marlene's academic journey is marked by significant achievements. She earned her Associate Degree in Administration of Justice from Fullerton College and recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), where she was recognized on the Dean's List for her academic excellence. Additionally, Marlene serves on the Advisory Board for the Giles-O'Malley Center for Leadership at CSUF, where she helps guide leadership development programs.
Before her role at ACC-OC, Marlene gained valuable experience through research at the U.S. Department of Commerce and provided administrative support with the Orange County Board of Supervisors.
In her current role, Marlene merges her passion for research and communications with her commitment to community engagement. She looks forward to contributing to ACC-OC's mission and collaborating with a dynamic team to support the cities of Orange County.
