BRUCE CHANNING APPOINTED EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE ACC-OC
The new executive director brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Association after spending more than 20 years as the Laguna Hills City Manager
ORANGE, CA (May 6, 2019) – The Association of California Cities – Orange County (ACC-OC) Board of Directors voted unanimously to name Bruce Channing as ACC-OC’s Executive Director last week. ACC-OC is the region’s leading public policy, education and advocacy group.
Channing, the longtime and former City Manager of Laguna Hills, takes over the helm of ACC-OC as it works to address one of Orange County’s most important issues – homelessness and the supply of supportive housing units countywide – via the Orange County Housing Finance Trust (Trust). The Trust is a collaborative effort between ACC-OC, the County of Orange and Orange County cities and is intended to provide a simple, fast, and plentiful way to streamline funds to construct more supportive housing across the region.
